Capcom To Increase Production Output
Capcom’s looking to put out more big games like Resident Evil and Street Fighter per year. At the moment, Capcom only produces two on an annual basis, they hope to ramp it up to three or four instead.

Square Enix have just unveil a new next-generation game engine at this year’s CEDEC. It has been given the named Luminous and it’s said to build on the work that has previously been done by Eidos.

The Tokyo Game Show is usually known for a good amount of game announcements, especially from Japanese developers for obvious reasons. Interestingly enough, the Xbox 360 had more titles on show compared to the PlayStation 3 in 2009. However, PS3 takes the cake this year.

Just recently Valve Software was seen praising the PlayStation 3, saying that it’s “incredibly important” to the company. Half a year ago, words for Sony’s platform weren’t as nice. Either way, Valve has had a change of heart and are looking to change things by bringing Steamworks to the PS3.
