Updated Fix for Heart Gold and Soul Silver USA!

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE FREEZE!!!! This hack seems to be working for me: OK here is the ultimate fix for all of you non-believers! Unpack the game with ds buff v1 and go into the Data Folder, then enter the Data folder in that one. REMOVE the file called guru2.narc and RE-PACK all and voila! If you want to know how I figured that out… its simple: on the internet, there was a Nintendo Anti-Piracy topic about Nintendo hiring a anti-piracy GURU to fix their problem, so… the NARC file contains anti-piracy data. So by removing it, it fixes it!
OR try the old fix previously posted.

i tried walking in and out of a door like 15 times and it didnt freeze
i hope it keeps on working cause i renamed an old .sav file to continue so i dont know but so far good work

Extends the time freeze but does not stop it….if you use this about 16 min it will not freeze and usual about 4-6 min……… tried it on r4…

guru.narc is where all of the pokemon sprite images are at, not the anti piracy

unpacked. deleted guru2.narc and re-packed. Didnt work.

You also have to delete the 8 files with:
smptm koori
smptm nemuri
in the name
then it works fully

there are the
middoor freezes – deleting guru(2).narc
midbattle freezes _ deleting smptm_koori
midoverwold freezes – deleting smptm_nemuri
but theres also freezes when entering or exiting a menu option (bag, trainer card, pokegear etc.) and i dont know how to fix that one so plz help

when i go to the pc and go out from it, it freezes

Not true! i took out all of those thngs and yet I still froze in game multiplie times, after I got out of a pokemon battle and one time exiting a pokemon center. Some people say that the guru.narc is were the pokemon sprites are kept, I dont know, all i know is that I have tried both R4 offical fireware and the YS menu, and I still experiance freezing, if your theory works then why dont you upload a rom that has all those these deleted and is “working” on a R4 or any other flashcard that it wasnt working for previously?
